Secretary General, BCCC
Ashish, an MA in Political Science from JNU, was appointed BCCC's Secretary General in May 2012, soon after the IBDF Board of Directors decided to arm the Council with a full-fledged Secretariat.
With his team, Ashish is responsible for processing the complaints received by BCCC and presenting them before the Council for action. Team BCCC interfaces between the Council on the one hand and the government, the broadcasters, the civil society and the media on the other.
Before joining BCCC, Ashish was Deputy Chief of the National Bureau at Mail Today, the daily newspaper published by the India Today Group.
An alumnus of Patna College and Sainik School Tilaiya, Ashish, a newspaper journalist since 1995, has worked with The Times of India, The Telegraph, Hindustan Times, Mainstream and The Pioneer.
