Secretary General, IBDF
Avinash Pandey is a Senior media professional with 3 decades of work across print, TV, Digital and Marcom ecosystem. He is currently the Secretary General of IBDF which is an apex body representing TV broadcasters and their OTT platforms. He is former CEO of ABP Network where he spent 20 years of his career and transformed group from a small one TV Channel to seven TV News channels, one large OTT and a big film production company where he produced an award-winning film and many TV series. He has been associated in the launch of Aaj Tak 24x7 news channel, Headlines Today (India’s Today) news channel and has produced the “Eating Out” guide of Delhi at Indian Express in the beginning of his career. He is immediate past president of NBDA, immediate past president of IAA. He has been thrice awarded as “Best CEO” by ENBA and “Media Person of the Year” by IAA and has won numerous other rewards. He has served as a member M&E Committee of FICCI, Chair of M&E at ASSOCHAM and worked in several panels of I&B Ministry in the past. He is a post graduate in History from Delhi University and an AMP from Harvard Business School.
